Way to make life happy!!

Mummy I want Dairy Milk, said Akilan to his mother. No Akil ,no chocolates. Already you have taken enough. It’s not good for health said Akilan’s Mother. Akilan just bent his head down and went to explore the rest of the SuperMarket. Akilan was just 10 years old. He is in his Fourth std. Akilan’s mother and father both work as Software Engineers and they get little time to spend with their child. But Akilan’s mother sees to that when she gets time she takes Akilan for a shopping and spend time with him. Today also she had taken him out for shopping. Just then Akilan shouted, Mummy!! See this pair of shoes . They are so good. I need them. Akilan’s mother came near to him and told Akilan you have already three Pair of shoes at home. No Mummy I don’t have this black shoes. Please Mummy I need it. But Akil, you have shoes at home. Why you need them again? asked Akilan’s mother. Akilan could not resist his temptation to get those beautiful pair of shoes. He insisted his Mom again and again to get him that . Akilan’s mother somehow managed him to take home. Akil, come and have your lunch dear!! called Akilan’s mother. But Akilan did not come. AKilan’s mother went to bedroom to see him. He was hiding his face with his pillow and crying. Akil, what dear? What happened? Why are you crying? I need those pair of shoes, I need them now, He said crying. But Akil you have three pairs al ready why you need one more? Akilan got up from his bed and asked his mother, why should I not have one? We can afford it Mummy. We have money to get anything we need any number of times. So , why cant I have that pair too? It was looking too good. Now Akilan’s mother did not reply and just saw into Akilan’s eyes for a moment and told, Akil you come and have your lunch . I will take you to meet someone today evening. But Mummy shoes…??asked Akilan again, yes you will get them first get up and have your lunch. Akilan was overjoyed. He went to have his lunch.In the evening Akilan’s mother took him to her friend’s place where Akilan met a beautiful girl. She was just 3 years elder than Akilan. She was sitting on a chair and painting . She was painting Sceneries’. The painting looked so beautiful . Akilan’s mother introduced the girl to her son. She is Brinda! said Akilan’s mother . She is in her seventh std and she is good at painting. Just then girl’s mother came in with coffee and biscuits. They were talking and having fun for sometime. Just then Akilan noticed that !!He could not believe his eyes. He pinched himself to confirm it was not a dream. Yes , Brinda had no legs!!. On seeing this his eyes just filled with tears. He wiped it soon so that no one would notice. On his way back home Akilan’s mother told Akilan how Brinda had met with an accident few years before in which she lost her father and also her legs. Akilan was silent. Akil, see Brinda has no legs. She can never wear shoes in her life. But she is contented with her life and she is happy. Its not question of affording child!! We must see whether we need them? We can buy anything with money but learn to be contented with what you have. That is the way to make life happy. There are people who don’t even have a pair of shoes and in Brinda’s case…she was silent and looked at Akil. Mummy!! I understood said Akilan and just smiled at his mother.
